Flux Afterburn is a 15-second sci-fi motion graphic created for my Senior Project. It features a stylized spacecraft moving through space and demonstrates full 3D production: modeling, FX, lighting, and sound, thus capturing a complete visual moment.
To apply for motion graphics and 3D roles, I needed a compact project that proves I can carry a visual idea from concept art to final composite under tight timelines, using efficient workflows.
On Flux Afterburn, I shaped a concise narrative through concept sketches and storyboards, grounding tone and pacing with targeted visual references. I then built the starship asset from top- and side-view drawings to ensure scene-to-scene continuity. Animation and effects were executed, followed by rendering, compositing, and audio mixing to deliver the finished film.
The final animation met every milestone, showcasing cinematic vision and end-to-end production skill in an impactful short format.
This logo animation was created for IDOONA, a startup I co-founded focused on helping businesses measure and improve their sustainability efforts. The animation was developed for a class in Motion Graphics and includes all key deliverables, from research and storyboarding to final video export in H.264 format.
As an early-stage startup, IDOONA had limited visual branding and no official animation. The priority was on product development, so this project aimed to create a polished animated logo that could be used in presentations, pitch decks, and marketing.
I began with pencil thumbnails exploring how the infinity symbol could morph organically into the full wordmark. After selecting a path traced reveal, I built vector outlines in Illustrator with the wordmark split into separate letters and symbols. Using trim-path animators, I animated the infinity symbol first, then shrunk it to letter size while the rest of the wordmark panned in.
This piece now serves as IDOONA’s animated identity, ideal for the website hero section, investor pitch decks, and branding guidelines.
Created for a Multimedia Design class, this 10 second animation captures a calming transition from dawn to day, as seen from a home office window overlooking a city. Built with vector-based assets in Illustrator and Photoshop, and animated in After Effects.
The brief required a minimalist yet emotionally engaging animation. The challenge was to balance tranquility with progression without using complex character animation. All visuals had to remain scalable and maintain a cinematic, warm tone.
To begin, I prepared assets by illustrating individual assets in Adobe Illustrator. I used Photoshop to build foreground in-room scenes. After importing all assets in After Effects, I set the timing and rhythm using placeholder solids before replacing them with final artwork.
After rendering test versions, then identifying inconsistencies and fixing them, I exported the final version. The final animation hit the 10 second, 30 fps spec and was well received. It effectively tells a visual story of transition and energy through restrained, thoughtful animation.
